ESCO was contracted by the Evergreen Parks and Recreation District to re-construct approximately 1,500 LF of multi-modal trail bordering Evergreen Lake in downtown Evergreen. Several stakeholders were involved in this project including Evergreen Parks & Recreation, CDOT, City & County of Denver, Evergreen Metro District, and Jefferson County.

ESCO was contracted by the Evergreen Parks and Recreation District to re-construct approximately 1,500 LF of multi-modal trail bordering Evergreen Lake in downtown Evergreen. Several stakeholders were involved in this project including Evergreen Parks & Recreation, CDOT, City & County of Denver, Evergreen Metro District, and Jefferson County. The project consisted of removal of the existing failing retaining wall and trail, 1,300 LF of sheet piling installation at the top of lake for scour protection, over 9,000 SF of Redi-Rock retaining wall installation, 3,000 CY of structural backfill, re-routing 1,000 LF of existing 12” DIP watermain, placement of over 1,200 LF of new curb & gutter, concrete trail, and decorative handrail, and over 1,000 tons of riprap & boulder placement. ESCO worked diligently with the traveling public and all stakeholders to complete the project under a single lane closure in a high-traffic area in a single season, ahead of the owner’s deadline.
