Project Contract

$6.2M
ESCO was contracted by Crossland Construction Company for the Earthwork and Wet Utility work associated with this project. The design was for a 1,000,000 square foot commercial building. The project included over 400,000 cubic yards of earthwork and 325,000 SY of grading. Extremely sandy and dry soil conditions were encountered during this project. ESCO implemented strategic soil processing strategies to properly moisture condition and compact the on-site soils. Earthwork operations progressed through the work ahead of schedule. ESCO utilized drone technology to help the client with site balance as the earthwork operations progressed to assist the client in managing site balance. Extremely sandy material caused soil to shrink when compacted and needed to be analyzed regularly and quickly to make decisions regarding import/export options. Utility work was initially contracted to ESCO that included 18,500 LF of Water, Sanitary, and Storm installation. Unfortunately, due to a large project redesign this work was deducted from ESCO’s contract until final design of the revised building structure was completed.
